PORT CRANE SERVICE / STARKON
Crane vibration analysis
Vibration during trolley travel can be a sign of a rail transition, wheel or support problem. STARKON investigates crane vibration and operator-reported movement to help identify where corrective work will have the greatest effect.

SCOPE OF WORK
Prepared around
your crane.
- Review of the operating conditions and reported vibration
- Measurement positions agreed for the crane and operator environment
- Assessment alongside rail and wheel geometry
- Findings translated into a practical maintenance scope
The crane condition, engineering requirements and available access determine the final scope. We coordinate preparation and site work with your maintenance team.
FIND THE CAUSE
Measure the movement.
Understand the source.
We discuss when the vibration occurs and how it changes with trolley position, speed and load. Depending on the question, the measurement plan can focus on crane behaviour or operator exposure, including whole-body or hand-arm vibration.
Measurement locations, operating conditions and the assessment method are agreed before testing. Results are considered together with rail joints, wheel geometry and the supporting structure. This helps distinguish a local impact from a wider alignment or support issue.
The output is a documented assessment and a proposed next step: targeted inspection, adjustment, engineering or repair.
