The original trolley rail was welded to the crane girder. Removing it would change the structural arrangement, so the replacement method needed an engineering assessment.

What we delivered.
STARKON and IV-Consult reviewed the rail profile, clip arrangement, baseplate and deformation between supports. They also considered the girder with and without the welded rail, including strength and fatigue behaviour.
THE RESULT
The completed work.
The review led to a different rail and clip arrangement with prefabricated soleplates. The customer accepted the proposal and subsequently commissioned the replacement work.
