What is a coil ram?
A coil ram is a forklift attachment that supports a coil through its central opening. Other names include coil mandrel, coil boom and coil pole. In Dutch: coildoorn, coil doorn or draagdoorn; in German: Coildorn or Tragdorn.
What can be customised?
The required capacity, ram geometry, working length and mounting can be specified for your application. Send the coil dimensions and forklift details with your request.
How do I choose the right capacity?
Start with maximum coil weight and the actual load centre. STARKON also reviews the mounting and forklift residual capacity. A 300 mm ram diameter does not define the minimum usable coil eye on its own: clearance and coil geometry must be considered.
