Forklift coil rams & coil mandrels

A coil ram, also called a coil mandrel, roll prong or coil boom, enters the coil eye to support the load. The ram diameter, useful length and mounting arrangement must suit both the coil and the truck. STARKON offers pin-type and hook-type carriage configurations, with fork-mounted versions available on request. Different interfaces provide a starting point for a dedicated truck attachment or an attachment used with existing forks.

Is a coil ram the same as a coil mandrel or roll prong?

These terms commonly describe an attachment that enters the coil eye. The mounting, diameter and working length still need to match the particular coil and forklift.
