An underslung coil lifter positions the handling attachment below the forks to suit the loading arrangement. STARKON’s catalogue includes a fixed fork-mounted design for steel coil operations. It is a practical starting point when the truck bed, coil floor and available entry clearance determine how the coil can be placed. Send the coil geometry and loading sequence so we can define the contact points and attachment interface.

Operating requirementsThe attachment and forklift must be assessed as one system. Confirm residual truck capacity, load centre, attachment weight and the operating limits for the selected configuration. The 33-tonne reference is configuration-specific; it is not a rating for every coil hook.

When is an underslung coil hook useful?
An underslung coil lifter can suit loading arrangements where the coil must be supported below the forklift forks, including compatible trucks with dedicated coil floors. Entry clearance and the loading sequence determine the appropriate geometry.
How does it differ from a coil ram?
A coil ram enters the coil eye with a projecting mandrel. An underslung lifter uses a different supporting arrangement below the forks. Choose the arrangement around the coil orientation, available space and receiving vehicle.
