Prefabricated soleplates, new rails, rail clip components and rubber underlays brought together for an RMG trolley rail replacement.
THE CHALLENGE
The existing fully welded trolley rails and their soleplates needed replacing. An engineering review by STARKON and IV-Consult led to a rail system secured with clips, supported on new prefabricated soleplates and rubber underlay.
OUR SCOPE
STARKON prepared the soleplates with welded clip baseplates in its own workshop. The new rail components, approximately 120 metres of rail and a fully equipped rail service container were transported to the site. The team removed the old system, measured the centre line and installed the new supports and rails.
THE RESULT
The supply and installation were followed by preservation, commissioning and a rail geometry survey with IV-Consult. Workshop preparation and on-site execution formed one coordinated project.
